Be careful using Paypal: my account only has my own credit card (no checking/debit/anything associated with Paypal); I recently got two refunds from two different sellers. Neither was processed by Paypal as a refund which they should have been - instead, they logged it as a cash payment to me, the seller. Which makes no sense at all, but wait - it gets worse. One of the "payments" shows as received, but is nowhere to be found. It has disappeared. The other is showing sitting there as cash which is completely useless for me as it would cost me to get a check. Besides, refunds should go to the payment source used for the purchase. So, I filed both in the Resolution center detailing what Paypal should have done/didn't do. Now, it gets really bad: got an email saying there was no unauthorized transaction and they closed the case. In the beginning, it could have simply been a mistake; however, to tell me that they "investigated" and closed the case and apparently do not feel it necessary to fix the mistakes, can be interpreted as quite a few things, none of which are acceptable behavior. I am sending a letter of demand to the CEO of Paypal Holdings, Inc tomorrow.
Glad I never trusted them to give them my bank account number; and, once this has been taken care of, I will delete my credit card and close my account.
