Q: Internet connectivity
Hi, I have recently bought myself a macbook pro 13 inch retina display for posting YouTube Videos so due to that I would need the internet so by recommendation by the person from the genius bar I went ahead and bought it, Later on that night I was setting it up and setup the internet connection and noticed it can take up to 10m to load my webpages now I am very annoyed at this as sometimes it wont load at all and in the store there pcs are perfectly ok is it a fault with mine or what as I tried with 3 different internet connections like different family members houses so its not our internet but I am not struggling to do the thing I bought the laptop for which is make YouTube videos ? I am covered with apple care for the first year but I don't really wanna have to phone up if I can get quick answer online any suggestions greatly accepted as this is annoying especially when you pay a lot of money for it.

You could take it to the genius bar, and see if the issue reproduces there. However, if it doesn't it would have to do with the settings of the internet at the site
where you are having the issue. If you have a WiFi hot spot like a library or McDonalds closer by, you may be able to save yourself time at the genius bar to troubleshoot yourself if the issue is with your internet connection or one of your computer's settings.
Some questions for you:
1. Have you added software of your own since you got the computer? If so, which software?
2. How big is your hard disk, and how full is it?
3. Who is giving you internet access? Is it via DSL, dialup, satellite, cable, or fiberoptic, and what is their quoted speed?
4. A raw internet speed test can tell you some things: http://www.speedtest.net/ It isn't though as accurate as making your own internet
speed test directly to the people providing you internet:
kad: Testing your internet connection speed
5. Downloading http://www.etrecheck.com/ and copy/pasting its results can help us isolate potential reasons for internet speed down from the software end.
6. Backup your data, and tell us if it is backed up after giving us your Etrecheck results.
I'm going to ask this thread be moved to the El Capitan forum.
