Feb 21, 2016 5:42 PM in response to RoseMatiasby Lawrence Finch,Take the phone back to Apple, if it really was an Apple store; they should know how to prevent this problem in the first place, and to fix it otherwise. However, I seriously doubt that you took it to Apple, because Apple has all of the right parts for your phone. If you took it to an independent shop you can connect the phone to iTunes and click the Update iOS button. This will restore the phone, but minus the functionality of Touch ID.

Feb 21, 2016 6:18 PM in response to RoseMatiasby ElvaXiao,Error 53 is cause by hardware issue. And it stops the update or restore from completing.
- Check that your security software and settings aren't blocking your device from communicating with the Apple update server.
- Then try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good.
- Make sure that your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers.
- If you still see the error message when you update or restore, contact Apple support.
If you still see the error message, check for outdated or modified software.

Feb 21, 2016 11:24 PM in response to Lawrence Finchby RoseMatias,I have never brought my iphone to any other place besides apple and I have never even opened it myself. I still have the email receipt from when I went and my Repair No: R184467350 . Seriously no need for me to lie. I think they took so long to give me my phone back in the first place because a genius did some type of mistake out back. I even bought my cellphone paid in full from Apple. Thanks.
