Q: iTunes says that I'm not signed into Apple Music

Every now and then while I'm listening to Apple Music, the music will stop and a pop up will say that I need to sign into Apple Music in order to listen. How did I get signed out and how do I sign back in? Each time this has happened, I've confirmed that I'm signed into iTunes and eventually have to restart the app all together.

Ok--This worked for me. I quit iTunes, then went to my Library folder, Caches, then deleted the com.apple.iTunes folder. Restarted iTunes. Streaming now works.

    1. Quit iTunes.

    2. In Finder, hold down the [option] key while opening the Go menu. Select Library.

    3. Navigate to Caches

    4. move "com.apple.iTunes" to the trash.

    5. Restart iTunes.

You can go in to preferences and mark box for iCloud library this should re index and solve your problem. My library is too corrupt so it just hangs. It should work for yo

Still not working for me. I tried to mark the iCloud library button in prefs but it has re indexed yes, great, but now i think that the problem most of us are dealing with is too higher content in iCloud. This means that someplace apple is corrupting our old music with new technology. Hope there is a future fix.

Nothing for me worked and I fixed it by right clicking the song I had a problem with and then clicking "remove download". The song then played fine for me

Yeah - same problem.  I show the Apple Music local version in iTunes, but every time I try to play it, I'm told I am not signed into Apple Music.

Going back to Spotify until Tim Cook decides to enforce the same "Perfect Release" discipline that Steve Jobs was famous (and sometimes, notorious) for.

What ever happened to, "It just works?"

I was also having this problem so I looked at this page and after trying all the solutions I was given, my playlist STILL said that I was not signed into apple music. So I was fiddling with the apple control panel at the top and found that, bizarrely, pressing the redeem code and signing in after that let me listen to my songs again. I think the solution is different for every computer, but it will always involve signing in to your account again
