Q: iTunes keeps asking for admin login and password

If you are having issues launching the iTunes application, try running a software update to bring OS X El Capitan and iTunes to their current versions, which are 10.11.3 for El Capitan and 12.3.2.35 for iTunes. In the process of installing the update you will need your computer admin password, but once the applications are updated you should not be prompted for it again.

Get the latest version of iTunes

I just want to confirm, when you restarted your computer after updating the software, are you being prompted for the user name and password that you use when you turn on your computer, or are you being asked for your Apple ID and password?
Try starting your computer in Safe Mode and see if the issue persists:
OS X El Capitan: Start up in safe mode
Also, try creating a New User account to isolate this to the software or a system wide issue.

Do you have your iTunes library backed up via Time Machine or another method?
Manage and back up your iTunes media library

The screenprint below is what I receive when I open iTunes. The settings are already set correctly in the firewall. I tested my admin account today and I don't have this issue with that account, so it might be something with my local user account. Yes, I have the iTunes library backed up with Time Machine.

Thanks for the screenshot and for testing this in another user. I'm assuming your admin account is where your iTunes Library resides as well? So, for this local user account, is it possible that you have added some sort of third party app or plug-in for iTunes? It sounds like the certificate for iTunes has been changed in some way on this account. So, your options are to 1) use the admin user account for iTunes or 2) change the Firewall settings in the local user account, or 3) continue to click Allow each time you use the local user account for this application.Is this a portable or a desktop Mac? If portable, perhaps a Genius at a local Apple Retail Store or one of our Apple Authorized Service Providers can delve into this a little further. If this is an iMac, it may be more convenient to contact one of our technical advisors to delve into this further for you. Refer to this thread for steps you've already taken when you speak to the new advisor.
