Feb 8, 2016 9:02 AM in response to beeccccaby mjdavila,I've had the same issues with my iPhone 6 Plus for the past 6 months.
Unresponsive touch screen after unlocking device with Fingerprint. But home button works while this is happening. But usually if I lock again and unlock it works. Or sometimes I have to hard reset. Then works for a while then it comes back again later.
I took it in to an Apple Store and got it replaced while under warranty, but after a few months now it's happening again on the new device and now the warranty is over.
Very frustrating. I've been on an iPhone since the 3G and have had almost every model. This one is definitely the worst and most expensive one I've bought.
I'm stuck in the Apple ecosystem and don't want to switch to Android but I'm starting to really consider it for my next device.

Feb 15, 2016 8:15 AM in response to beeccccaby Rmuhammad,Apple please fix this issue, i think the issue happens because our devices doesn't support force touch feature. Looks like there's a bug that makes our software (in my case ios 9.2.1 on iphone 5s) because the update doesn't treat devices without force touch feature correctly. Please fix this bug, it's frustating.
Thanks

Feb 18, 2016 12:45 AM in response to Rmuhammadby teemu13,I hope that Apple do something about this issues. I have a lot of touch screen freezing and it make a lot of own works without touching In last Few days is so bad. This is endurance too long. Apple lose many customer, because they not want to tell everything. I see that their have a lot of problem and dangerous device in customer, but they accept these problem when guarantee is expired. Maybe this will solve when they release IOS 10

Feb 23, 2016 2:46 AM in response to gatedby ArokiaAntony,Hi Everyone,
I am also facing the same problem of Mobile phone freezing. But I noticed a pattern in its behavior, I am currently residing in Dubai I am using an iPhone 6,
Here the phone freezes sometimes and what I usually do is try various clicks of HOME button press and try to restore the state, but mostly a hard shutdown will help.
But when I went to India two days back, the phone was working perfectly fine,. this actually gave me a hint, when I came back to dubai, the moment I turned off AIRPLANE mode in flight the phone started the strange behavior again, hence what I did is first to set the phone to Airplane mode and again turn it back.
But I suspected that the issue is related to the Network, hence I turned from 4G LTE to 3G, the phone rarely behaves that way now. As of now I am using only 3G and my phone works fine its been 1 day now and no freezing.
This is just an observation, please try and update me If the long information that I have typed is useful to you all affected people just like me
And to Apple Support guys, hope you are aware of the cause of the bug we are Sincerely awaiting a fix for this issue. As you are aware people are more tempted to Android now and with this, you are just forcing us to join the Other end of the tunnel.
Shed some light APPLE
Thanks Guys!
Jayaraj

Feb 23, 2016 10:04 PM in response to ArokiaAntonyby teemu13,This is not working for me. I see that my phone go really slow and freezing all the time when I have many apps using. Phone going heating too much. And it takes long time before it came back normal. We can't fix this, this is really software bug, Apple is only one who can fix this and I hope that they do it so soon.

Mar 1, 2016 10:51 AM in response to Rmuhammadby cgsoneyra,Same problem here, and it looks like we can't downgrado to iOS8.x...
Now the "Phantom touches" happen every 2 minutes...so I get a few seconds of normal behavior and then...again the crazy touch screen...
I'd expect an new release or pathc NOW, since there are hundreds of thousands at least, suffering from the same buggy software...

Mar 1, 2016 9:11 PM in response to cgsoneyraby ArokiaAntony,Dear All,
Its me again. After a lots of resets and try outs with my iphone 6. I decided to go to Apple Store to get this fixed and they did fix it, it seems that my display has gone insensitive to certain spots which has lead to this inconsistent suspicious behavior of my phone. Now after Paying 399AED my phone is back to normal.
be safe and donot drop ur phone if you wish to save some bucks.
Regards,

Mar 6, 2016 7:30 AM in response to cgsoneyraby Amari2677,This is exactly what has been happening to my iPhone 6 (running iOS 9.2.1) over the past week. I reset it a few times, wiped it and read countless forums (without any resolution). I never once had a problem with my Apple devices but this has really cast doubts for me. Worst part of all - the phantom touches apparently sent a few friend requests on Facebook as evidenced by all the new friends that accepted my request. My contract is up in June and with my phone being inoperable and Apple clearly knowing about the issue (without an immediate fix), I am going to <gulp> explore other options.

Mar 8, 2016 8:25 PM in response to amink khalajby YourWBS,I've been following various threads on Apple discussions since October. I'm working in an app development company based in Thailand ( both iOS and android ). We have 9 iPads, 4 iPhones ( 5 and 6s) and 7 iPads and all iPhones + my personal iPhone 5 and iPad are having touch issues and visible overheating problems since iOS 9. I'm currently running 9.3 beta 5 and still no luck.
Many hard reboots, flashes from both locally the device or iTunes it never helped.
Apple Care in Chonburi charged me even money for fix but never actually fixed my iPhone. They actually replaced the screen with some 2nd hand screen and still no luck.
Also very convenient is that Apple also stop signing old iOS so there is no fix.
So,
a) Apple hand over signed iOS 8
b) fix this GPU overload crap
or court is an option. I see case can be legally supported from world wide nations since there is no fix from Apple for over 7 months now. I do can legally make a problem in Thailand since it's official Apple Care, I kept the receipt and problem is still there

Mar 10, 2016 3:16 PM in response to Amari2677by ADR53,SSame thing here with ios9 and iphone6. Since the first iOS 9 distribution last summer I've been having fits with touchscreen completely unresponsive. Reboot seemed to solve problem for a while but now it's less than 50-50 it will work properly. MORE TROUBLING is the phantom 'touches' which has the phone opening many apps one after another! This has only started in the past week. Sometimes my phone rings and I can't even answer the call; other times my phone makes random calls from my phone book! Try to type password and jibberish flashes across the screen. I've tried all the lame "fixes" noted here and elsewhere to no avail whatsoever. I'm ****** and regretfully looking at another platform to get away from an unresponsive and uncaring Manufacturer in APPLE. With cell phone market pressure already upon them, I'm dumbfounded they can just twiddle their thumbs and tell their customers to "reboot". I don't want to, nor will I enrich a Company which doesn't give a twit about their customers after the sale. Over the years I've funneled tons of money to Apple (5 family cell phones!) beginning with the 3GS up through the 6 -- but this relationship is now dead. Good luck with your poorly engineered and/or poorly manufactured Apple 'smart' phones. I submit they should be called DUMB phones because this problem renders them COMPLETELY USELESS! Bye-Bye, Apple.

Mar 14, 2016 10:06 AM in response to beeccccaby Sarfa33,I've been having the same issue on my 6+ with the touchscreen not responding at all or having phantom touches. My phantom touches were always in a straight vertical line close to the middle of the screen (passing through the "b" key on the keyboard). The problem has been very intermittent -- my phone would go for days without a single issue then have a 24-hour period where it would be completely unusable.
After one particularly bad period, I finally made an appointment to go to the local Apple Store Genius Bar and spoke with a very helpful guy there. He was absolutely aware of the problem and suggested that it could be caused by one of three things:
1) Bad motherboard -- if you are seeing white lines on your screen in addition to the touchscreen issues, then you have a motherboard problem. The only solution in this case is to replace the entire phone. Replacing just the touch screen will NOT solve the problem.
2) Loose or bad touchscreen connection -- According to the guy I spoke with, there are three wires running from the bottom of the touchscreen to the top and then on to the motherboard. One or more of these wires could be loose or broken. He suggested that it might be the middle wire in my device, since the phantom touches always occur in the middle of my screen. If this is the problem, replacing the touchscreen should fix the issue.
3) Bad software -- It is possible that a bad app can interfere with the device enough to cause touchscreen problems. In this case, a factory reset should fix the issue, unless you restore your phone to a backup that includes all the same apps, in which case you'll be right back where you started.
My phone does not have any white lines along the edges of the screen, so he suggested that it was either number 2 or 3 in my case. Since I hadn't yet tried a factory reset, he suggested that I do so and then NOT restore to my backup for a few days, to test things out. If the problem returned on a clean phone, then my issue would be #2 and I'd have to get the screen replaced. If wiping the phone fixed the issue, then it was likely #3 and I could get away without paying for repairs.
I'm now two days into my factory reset and (knock on wood) have not experienced any problems, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it was a software problem. I'll circle back and let you all know how it goes.
Thanks to everyone that has commented in this thread.
