Q: 2014 Macbook Air Check Signal Cable with Samsung Syncmaster 2494lw
I previously posted this in the wrong thread. I have a Samsung Syncmaster 2494lw monitor that I am trying to connect to my 2014 MacBook Air running el capitan. I am using a thunderbolt to HDMI adapter from Belkin to connect to the monitor and then a DVI to HDMI adapter at the monitor. When I plug in the computer, I get "check signal cable"; however, plugging in other computers to the monitor works fine, including another mac. Does anyone have a solution to this?
Thanks!

In the end, I purchased a DVI cable and a thunderbolt-DVI adapter and that solved the problem. I guess somehow the signal was getting lost in translation from DVI-HDMI-thunderbolt.
Thanks!
