I understand that you are having issues with backing up your iPhone as well as it is restarting on you. Let's go over some troubleshooting options to get you backed up and what to do for the restarts.
For backing up, I am unsure which method you use to back up but have found 2 articles that have troubleshooting backing up your iPhone to iTunes or iCloud.

As for the issue with your iPhone restarting, you will want to make sure that you are running the latest version of iOS as well as updating all the apps on your iPhone. If all is good there and you are still having the same issue, then you will want to contact Apple for further assistance.
