Q: I need to reset my iPod Touch! Help!
Alright, so here is what happened. I recently got my device to factory reset when I forgot the restrictions passcode (had 17 total attempts -_-) and I did that by enabling "Erase iPod" in passcode settings so it would reset once I got the passcode wrong 10+ times. Now I wish I had enabled it again after I set it up as new because I got grounded from it for a few weeks (I still am grounded actually) and I grabbed my iPod when nobody was looking. Unfortunately, I forgot the passcode. I tried the passcode in the lock screen so many times it now says "iPod Is Disabled. Connect to iTunes." The problem I have with connecting it to iTunes is my main computer can't access the internet anymore (only my laptop can now.) I would authorize it on the laptop but unfortunately, I've already authorized it on 5 computers and it won't let me authorize it on any more. This is a problem because the last computer to authorize it was my main computer, and iTunes apparently requires an internet connection to reset it to factory settings, so this is where I am facing the problem. 3 out of 5 of the computers were operating systems I previously installed on my 2 hard drives that got later replaced by other windows versions, so that means I have 3 computers that I can't deauthorize, according to iTunes. I could move my main computer to the router and connect it via ethernet, but I'm still grounded so that wouldn't do any good, plus I would have to move my 37 inch monitor (TV actually) which is a pain in the a**. Can anyone please help me with this??
PS I have tried to use the Find My iPod feature on my friend Hunter's iPhone, but I soon realized that my iPod doesn't have the network I am connected to now saved, so it CAN'T connect to the internet.
iPod touch, iOS 6.1.6
