    Oops! I meant 9.2.1

Okay, here’s the bottom line whether you like it or not. You cannot downgrade to a previous version of iOS. You say your TouchID stopped working after applying the iOS 9.2.1 Build 13D20 update offered to you via iTunes. Your only option now is to take it in for service. You have no other choice left.

Hi, I have iPhone 5s running 9.2.1 my home button work just fine on this iOS. Until the home button and screen had to be replaced. The screen works fine but not the Touch ID. I have replace the charging port hardware and still nothing. I've reset the settings, factory reset, started my iPhone a fresh setup not restored with backup. Still nothing, Very confused but hopping that the new iOS 9.3 will have the fix for this problem.

    Thanks for any solutions.

Who replaced the home button and screen? If it was not Apple, that is probably the source of your problem. If this was a 3rd party, they cannot perform the steps necessary to get the home button, Touch ID, and the motherboard to work together. You will not be able to get Touch ID to work in this case. If it was Apple that replaced it, then you need to contact Apple. The other thing that concerns me is the statement about what appears to be you replacing the charging port. If that is correct, and a 3rd party replaced the other hardware, then Apple will not provide any support for that device at all. Opening the device as voided all post-warranty support for the device.

My touch ID stopped working with the software upgrade also. It worked just fine before; then the upgrade deleted the stored fingerprint, and I can't reset it.

It would appear that lots of people are having the same issue. As soon as I updated the Touch ID stopped working.
