I understand that you are trying to use your Apple ID on your iPad but it is asking for an old one. Let's go over what you can do to get this sorted.
The first thing that comes to mind is that the Apple ID was changed. This would be different than you creating a new Apple ID. If you changed your Apple ID, then you can try updating your iPad to the latest version of iOS and then try to sign out where it is needed. This should allow to sign out without supplying a password. Take a look at the articles below that speak to what you do when seeing your previous Apple ID as well what to change after changing your Apple ID.
If iCloud asks you for the password to your previous Apple ID

What to do after you change your Apple ID email address or password

Now if you just need to reset the password of your previous Apple ID to get this working for you, you can try to reset the password by using your security questions or rescue emails address. If you don't know that information, you can reset those if you have a rescue email address. If not, then you will need to contact Apple Support for further assistance. Take a look at the next two articles for more details.
