Feb 24, 2016 8:51 AM in response to annamonnikaby babowa,★HelpfulThat is not the menu, it is the Launchpad (an app) from which you can launch apps. Here are some instructions:

FWIW, I do not ever use Launchpad - I have icons for the apps I use the most in my dock and launch them from there. You have better control over your dock than in Launchpad.

Feb 24, 2016 8:02 AM in response to annamonnikaby babowa,If you deleted what you call the icons, then you deleted the apps. That's ok if you're not intending to use them.
FWIW, terminal is in Applications > Utilities. But, if you ever want to do anything there, you need to be very careful because any little typing mistake can ruin your OS install.

Feb 24, 2016 8:22 AM in response to annamonnikaby babowa,If you want to use them, you will have to reinstall them.
If you don't like the icons in the launchpad: since you cannot eliminate icons there (which are not mac app store apps), you could just not use Launchpad. As I told you, I use my dock which is much quicker - here is a screenshot of mine:
I have all the apps I use most there - all you need to do is drag the icon of the app you want from the Applications folder into your dock. That's it. It will now open any time you click on that icon.
