Q: iTunes/AppleTV combines HomeVideos and Movies

Computer OS: Windows 7

Apple TV (software version 7.2)

iTunes (version 12.3.2mo.35)

I can't separate movies from "home videos: in iTunes.  The Movies listing in iTunes  only lists Apple purchases, all other movies are listed under "Home Videos"

On Apple TV only "Home Videos" heading is shown, "Movies" heading (and list) doesn't appear.  I tried creating playlists, but these don't appear on Apple TV either.

I simply want to be able to select either category using Apple TV.  Paging through the combined list is awkward and shouldn't be necessary.  I'd appreciate some guidance.

    Hey johnq2,

I see that you are not able to access your desired content from your computer on your Apple TV. According to the information you have provided, I would like to suggest that you change the Media Kind setting on the items you would like to view on your Apple TV from Home Videos to Movies:

You can edit information in the Info window to make it easier to find and sort items in your library. For example, you can:

    • Identify a movie as a music video (click the Options button, and choose Music Video from the Media Kind pop-up menu).
