Q: on/off button doesn't work and I see a black screen, but can hear alerts, sounds, and vibrations.

I have an iPhone 5 (16GB, iOS 9.2.1) and the screen is frozen/black but I can still hear alerts, ringtones, vibrations etc.

At first, I was on on my phone and the screen suddenly froze so I left it alone and the screen dimmed down (as usual). But when I pressed the home button it wouldn't come on. If I long-pressed the home button, I could still here siri. I tried to tell siri to turn my phone off but of course that didn't work.

I can't force restart it because the on/off button doesn't work! I don't know what to do. I can't restore the iphone on my computer because it needs to be turned off and I can't turn it off.

Your phone doesn't need to be turned off to a restore as new or backup.

You'll need to wait for your battery to drain or get the power button fixed.

No.  I already told you you're option in my previous reply.
