Q: Created a photo book but some pictures are not showing

I created a photo book as I have done many times in the past. However, some of the pictures are not loading in the book layout. They are there in the library and there when I click into the page they show up. They also show up when I do a slideshow. If I order the book will the pictures be in the book?

    The ordered book will look like the PDF preview. Create a preview as described here:   Preview a print project in Photos, iPhoto, or Aperture to avoid issues - Apple Support

     

    And get your iPhoto Books printed before March 31., Some forum members have posted here, that Apple employees at the the Apple Stores told them that printing books from iPhoto will no longer be possible after March 31.  iPhoto 9.6.1 is working on El Capitan, but the support for iPhoto is no longer guaranteed.

    If, after March 31st, you want to continue to use iPhoto to create books you can use PrestoPhoto to print your books.  They advertise that they can use the PDF file generated by iPhoto (or Photos) to print and bind a book.

     

    I've not tried it nor have heard back from other users whom I've mentioned it to as to how the resulting books were.  If you do try them be sure to post back with the results so others will have an idea of their quality.
