Q: Move "Service Data" to ZFS volume on OSX server

Hello all,

I would like to move all Service Data to a ZFS volume on an OSX Mavericks Server. This option is situated here :
Server.app -> Your Server -> Settings
and is called "Service Data". As anyone ever done this ? Does it work or do I have to do some manual config every time the server reboots ?
I would be using OpenZFS.

Mac Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

    Hello all,

    So I will answer my own question.  The answer is No.  Actually, the Server app will not even detect the zfs volume.  I have also try to cheat and sync /Library/Server to the ZFS volume and then softlink the original folder to the copy on the zfs volume, but Server App would no longuer work.

    So MacOSX still does not like ZFS very much

    I reformated the drive with appleRAID and then I could move everything using the button in the app.  I notice that original folder is still there.  So this is really just a setting written somewhere.  Any one knows where this setting is written ?  Maybe I could get sync the data to the ZFS drive and write this setting by hand.

    Answering my own question again.

    Thanks to a nice gentlement on openzfs forums I got my answer.  Open ZFS on mac has an option in the datasets (filesystem) that will mimic hfs behavior : com.apple.mimic_hfs.  It is seen by the finder, and the server app,  as hfs+.  End result is you can now choose that disk to migrate the server data with the server app.  It has work without a glich for a few days.  Yeah, I have snapshots, compression, and error correction for my emails.

    Hope it helps someone.
