I understand that after you upgraded to El Capitan yesterday, you are seeing a notification badge for FaceTime, and you want to get rid of it. If you open System Preferences > Notifications on your MacBook Air, and then scroll down and select FaceTime you can deselect the Badge App icon feature.

Mar 1, 2016 5:34 AM in response to russalanby EVISCERATOR,Try opening Face Time and clicking on Audio, are any of you contact in red? I in red click on them and also check for voice mail. Please let me know if you get this figured out. I have been an iMac user for many years and just recently bought my first iPhone, so I am surfing the learning curve getting used to my telephone being a hand held computer and my iMac doing double duty as a computer and a big stationary telephone! I like it this way.
