Q: Exporting Slideshows

I have been trying to export a slideshow.  I can't export it as a movie or quicktime.  Instead it saves to  something called Mocha AE CS6 from after effects.  I have NO idea what that is and only want it as a movie.  Any advice???

With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a solution.  We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:

    • what system are you running?
    • what version of iPhoto are you running?
    • what is your workflow in exporting the slideshow? What options are you given as a format? Provide screenshot of the export window and what you're seeing.
    • what name and extension does the exported  file have?
    • what fixes have you tried?
    • where is your library located?
    • did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
    • are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?

    • what type of Mac?
    • how much free space on your boot drive?

Never mind.  It turned out that someone in my family had loaded an Adobe suite several years ago and Photos  defaulted to that.  I deleted it and can now view slide shows in QT.  Lesson -- keep your family away from your machine!!!

    Sorry for the panic

Having your account password protected and having additional accounts for others or having them use the guest account works for me
