Q: Editing in iOS an appointment created in Outlook converts it to a meeting.
If I create an appointment (just me, inviting nobody else, not a meeting, no meeting request) in Microsoft Outlook against an Exchange calendar, then Edit it on my iPhone, to change the Location to "Somewhere" and save it, it converts into a meeting. Which is to say, viewed in Outlook again, it wants me to address and fill out a meeting request, and my name shows up next to the appointment name as an attendee. I can "Cancel Invitation" again in outlook, and it changes back into an appointment.
(Curiously, if I first create the appointment on iOS, I can edit it without it turning into a Meeting.)
My boss has been driving me nuts about appointments arbitrarily turning into meetings, although it seems trivial to me, I get several emails a week about it. Please put me out of my misery.
Reproduced on iOS 9.2.1 iPhone 6 plus.
