Mar 1, 2016 1:48 AM in response to ajaydograby CellarDwellr,"Other" is system files and cache files. For example, caches songs from Spotify app. I am not aware of a method to determine what this is made up of. Why would you want to know, other than pure curiosity?

Go to settings iCloud back up now after backup restore back to factory settings
This will get rid of any bugs
Use same apple ID & iCloud back up to get your apps & data back
I do this when iPhone / iPad runs slow or has any other problems .
It will make it run like new .
Cheers
Brian
