Mac OS X
Q: Lightning strike aftermath diagnostics
My Mac was running when a lightning strike occurred close by. Are there any diagnostics that can be preformed by the end user to check health of my computer. Symptoms are ethernet not working and then working suddenly. Silo glitchy and at times unresponsive. Thanks in-advance.
MacBook, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3), refurb

User-level diagnostics are probably insufficient for a complete assessment of damage, if any. Best bet is to BACK THE COMPUTER UP immediately, full-disk/everything, and then taking it to an Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider so they can run more profound tests on it.
