Mar 1, 2016 11:36 AM in response to CyrineBSby OGELTHORPE,Based on what you indicate in your initial post, you did not perform the SMC reset correctly:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295
Read carefully: SHIFT + CONTROL + OPTION + POWER. (COMMAND is not used).
Run an Apple Hardware Test and see if that provides a clue:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201257
Note that an error free AHT is not conclusive.
Ciao.

Mar 1, 2016 12:02 PM in response to OGELTHORPEby CyrineBS,Thank you for responding!
And sorry for making a mistake, I typed Command but I meant to say Control.
That said, I wanted to try it again but nothing worked... I performed it again, pressing on the 4 buttons nothing on the screen...
So I did what you told me, I ran a apple hardware test but it said that no issues found!
I'm sad.

Mar 1, 2016 12:08 PM in response to CyrineBSby OGELTHORPE,Install a temperature/fan speed monitoring application.
Open Activity Monitor to ALL PROCESSES and set CPU to display values from high to low.
When you think the fan is 'working too much' take images of both and post them for review.
Ciao.

A properly operating MBP should not have a noisy fan when when starting and when running simple non-intensive applications. You may have a faulty fan or one that requires cleaning. In addition, there also may be a sensor problem.

Mar 6, 2016 3:23 AM in response to OGELTHORPEby CyrineBS,macbook air*
It's not faulty... if it was faulty the hardware test could have told me no?

The only time that I am willing to accept the results of a Apple Hardware Test is when it develops an error. When it comes back error free, all It says to me is that no errors were found, not that there are no errors.

I'm going to try to clean the fan with my vacuum (when the mba is shut down + cold vacuum and lightly cleaning it) do u think it's a good idea?

Mar 6, 2016 3:58 AM in response to CyrineBSby OGELTHORPE,Personally I would remove the fan for cleaning. But that approach may not be for everyone.
