Q: delete images from imessage

How can I delete images from a message thread without deleting the thread? (Friend sends a stream of pix taken in bad lighting. I save them to my camera roll. I edit them in an app. I don't want those bad pix showing up or taking up space.)

    Hi,

You should be able to select each pic in turn and use the Backspace key to delete them.

Ralph, thanks for your reply. When I do that, I get "Are you sure you want to delete this message? You cannot undo this action." Can you confirm that "message" in this warning means only that image and not any text?

I decided to interpret "message" as "image" and tried that in a less important thread. It works. Thanks!
