The model number you show does not appear correct for the processor series.

How did you arrive at the model number, and the processor speed?

A model A1054  identifies as an Early 2004 iBook and there are no 1.33GHz cpu

models in that series. Only in Late 2004 iBook, an A1055 does that cpu appear...

If your computer is a 14-inch, Late 2004 iBook, it is the oldest G4 1.33GHz CPU.

There were no model A1054 1.33GHz unless a custom build option existed. In

the usual case, you'd need to get a retail versi

    The mid-2005 introduced the 12 / 14-inch 1.33 / 1.42GHz G4 iBook; each shipped

with version of Tiger 10.4 specific to the build model and year, on grey label installer.

(Have a 1.33 12-in mid-2005 here, in perfect condition, with original install DVDs, etc)

According to http://mactracker.ca download database, you can see the as-shipped

software kit part numbers for each of those models, and they do vary enough to

not work if not an exact match.

Why do you need to know the original install grey-label system disc part numbers?

The http://everymac.com site has some good information on how to identify hardware/software.

Also a serial lookup online can supply the build year model and as-shipped software kit info if

the database goes back that far. PowerBookmedic has a lookup as does everymac.com.

If you are looking for vintage obsolete software, you may need to look for correct version retail

install DVD newer than the build year of the computer; otherwise it won't generally work. And

I try to avoid replying to questions where incorrect or missing information, noticed right away.

See the Original OS and Later OS in each of the two build series iBook G4s above.

Both are different than the iBook G4 (mid-2005) you asked about in another thread.

    Good luck & happy computing!
