Q: Is pages still free for IOS?

I am using an iPhone 6s and a iPad Air 2 both of which are less than a year old. I can't seem to be able to download Pages & Keynote for free.

 

I have been through the tutorials on how to get it for free, but it still says £7.99.

 

Are they still available for free?

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.2.1

    Yes.  Pages, Numbers, and Keynote are available for free with every new iOS device.

     

    If you bought the devices used, then they would not be free.

     

    If you did buy both devices new,  but the apps are not free, try going into Settings->iTunes & App Stores, and singing out of your Apple ID, and then sing back in. This usually fixes the issues with the free Apps.

    I tried that a few times, but that didn't seem to fix it. Yes, i bought the devices new. I had already downloaded iMovie for free, so cant see why the rest are not.

    What happens if you tap on the Buy button for the Apps?   Some people report that tapping on it does not actually charge them for it.

     

    Also are you using the same Apple ID you used when first setting Up the iPhone and iPad?
