Q: Bluetooth on iPhone 5S not working
I am unable to link via Bluetooth my iPhone 5S (iOS 9.2.1) with my iMac (OS 10.11.3) (which links fine with the mouse, keyboard and trackpad). Following instructions in other posts on this forum I went to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings on my iPhone and reset. After the reset I am still unable to link via Bluetooth to my iMac. The iMac says, "Now discoverable" and the iPhone says, "Now discoverable," the iPhone appears in the list of devices in the Bluetooth menu on the iMac but under the iPhone is says, "Not connected." After trying to connect for I get an error message, "Connection Unsuccessful." I restarted both the iPhone and iMac and tried again. Same results.
I appreciate any guidance or directions to correct this issue.
Thanks,
Carl

An iPhone will not pair via Bluetooth to a computer (Mac or Windows) except for personal hotspot and then only if your cellular plan supports it. See the following for more information. https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-7722
If you are attempting to use Handoff/Continuity or AirDrop, that does involve Bluetooth but the devices are NOT paired; Bluetooth just needs to be on and the devices in range of each other. The following may help with Handoff/Continuity issues: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204678
