Q: keyboard and mouse not recognized if not plugged in at startup
I have a 2015 12" 1.3 macbook, and have installed windows 10 on it via bootcamp. I use it together with the digital usb-c adapter (the hdmi one) and a wired apple keyboard, and logitech m705 mouse.
But i'm getting some bizarre problems. If I boot the computer up with the keyboard plugged in (the mouse is plugged in via the usb port on the keyboard), that works fine. but if i then unplug the adapter (e.g. go to a meeting) and then plug it back in, neither the keyboard nor mouse get recognized. may also be worth noting that el capitan is telling me that the keyboard cannot be identified when i boot into mac os.
I'm also getting hangs on shut down and restart if i try that with the usb-c adapter plugged in, in case that helps.
Thanks in advance for anyone with a solution, this really is annoying. I need the numerical pad otherwise i'd get a wireless keyboard.
