Nov 12, 2013 9:06 PM in response to Smck74by Clifford_,To delete shows that are in the iTunes download queue, leave the download queue screen and go back to the purchased tv shows area. Beside the tv show icon for that episode will be a cloud. Click on the cloud and then right away click it again. This will remove that show from the download queue. (this is in ios7 but I think it also works in earlier versions)
This doesn't work for expired rentals though. I'm working on a solution to that now and will keep you posted.

This works for any download from the iTunes Store. Refund is possible so be sure to ask.

Mar 5, 2016 5:11 AM in response to arbitrageby John P Thiel,I figured it out! I was downloading a movie in HD and wanted to cancel the download but couldn't even pause it In the download screen much less delete it.
Go to the spot where you originally ordered the rental.
There will be a download circle with a 'stop' square in the middle. Press to stop.
I had deleted the already downloaded portion in Videos, but I don't think that mattered.
