Q: iTunes repeatedly asks to authorize a newly purchased song on Windows 10.  I have tried removing the SC folder and turning off notifications.  How can I fix this?

I am running Windows 10 with the latest version of iTunes.  I recently purchased an album from the iTunes store.  When I try to play the last song on the album I am repeatedly prompted to authorize the computer.  I have followed the suggestions in the HT203160 article, but this did not resolve the problem.  I cannot play the song on my computer nor from the iTunes store, even thought the drop-down box shows "play", for a purchased song.

So..., now what?

Delete and redownload that song if doing so is free in your country.

I removed the song from the list in iTunes (it was actually the first song on the album).  I then was able to play it from the iTunes store.  After that I selected "Add to playlist..." which prompted iTunes to download the song.

So far, so good; I am now playing the song.

    Hope this helps someone.
