Q: No valid mbox files were found || Missing Mailboxes
I changed the titles to original 3 mailboxes and I created 2 new mail boxes for a total of 5 different email addresses in Mac Mail.
A couple of days later I decided to run disk utility and reboot my machine. When I reopened Mac Mail the 2 new Mail boxes were gone but .mbox 's are still inside the Library>Mail folder and the titles for the 3 mail boxes changed back.
I tried to reimport the 2 new mail boxes but no dice, Error message "No valid mbox files were found"
All solutions welcome.
iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5), 16GB RAM

I figured out why my new inboxes would disappear and why I couldn't change the names of the current inboxes. Go to preferences > advanced settings under each email account and uncheck the "automatically detect and maintain account settings"
