Q: How can I open my homepage on Safari when I get the message "too many redirects"?
I have an iMac with OS X El Capitan, 10.11.3 and Safari 9.0.3. I tried to load my homepage this morning (MyYahoo.com) which should happen automatically, however, I get an error message: "Safari can't open page...too many redirects have occurred." I did go to preferences>privacy, clicked on details and found websites for Yahoo that I deleted, but it made no difference, MyYahoo will not load.
I am hesitant to wipe out all cookies and/or history on my iMac....but if that is my only choice, I will do so.
Any assistance would be welcome.

Okay...figured it out. Found a suggestion to solve a different Safari problem in El Capitan and tried it....it worked...my.yahoo.com is now up and running on Safari once again.
Go to Safari>preferences>Search and uncheck the box for "include Safari suggestion". Quit Safari and restart.
Worked for me. Thanks for all the input everyone!
