Q: I am having trouble using my 5S to get to the cloud or i tunes because there is an old apple id attached to it that is defunct. How can I get rid of it?

My i phone 5S has an old e-mail/apple id attached to my name. Apple doesn't recognize this as a valid apple id, so even my old password doesn't work. The old i.d. keeps me from using any other apple id's. I have no idea how I can get rid of it. Funny thing, Apple actually put this on during one of the iOS upgrades.
