Aug 7, 2014 9:03 AM in response to longhorn16by sterling r,Hey there LongHorn16,
It sounds like your Bluetooth headphones aren't working with this one computer, but there is no issue with other devices that you have. I would start with these 2 steps from the following article:
- Restart your computer
Sometimes a simple restart of your Mac is all it takes to get things running smoothly again. You may also want to try resetting your computer's PRAM and NVRAM. - Reset your Bluetooth device
Try turning your device off and then on again. If that doesn't resolve the issue, see if you can reset your device—refer to the documentation that came with your device for instructions.
If it still doesn't work, then I would next use this article to remove the device:
Bluetooth: How to Delete a Paired Device
http://support.apple.com/kb/TA27116
Then restart your computer and pair it again:
OS X Lion: Set up a Bluetooth device

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
Cheers,
Sterling

Feb 26, 2015 5:20 AM in response to sterling rby fatso83,I needed several rounds of rebooting and resetting NVRAM before my 2013 Macbook Pro running Yosemite (10.10.2) found the device. So hang in there - it will work in the end ...

Mar 6, 2016 10:29 AM in response to RWKILGOREby elenifromny,I have exactly the same problem. My 10.10.3 retina mac wont detect the jaybird headphones. The headphones have worked with other devices. None of the above advice works. Any ideas?

Mar 6, 2016 10:53 AM in response to elenifromnyby ivanboy,★HelpfulOnce the headphones are on, try holding down the volume up and volume down buttons for a second or two. The headphones will say, "Searching for your music device".
Then, on the mac, try to connect.

Apr 18, 2016 8:38 AM in response to longhorn16by TJ79,I had a similar problem with my iMac 2015 Retina with my Jaybird X2's, at first they connected fine and then stopped, they would say "connected" when switching them on and then suddenly disconnect after a few seconds. I tried connecting directly through the Bluetooth menu while they were switched on and again after a few seconds it would disconnect.
I had recently changed my router and had switched off wifi on the iMac and started to use an ethernet cable instead, the moment I switched my wifi back on the Jaybirds started working fine again and not had a problem since. There must be something that requires the wifi on at all times for them to work ok.
