Q: How do I use AirPrint on my iPhone with an AirPrint compatible printer that is wirelessly connected to my Time Capsule that is acting as my wireless router?

I have an Epson XP-610 that is wirelessly connected to my Time Capsule that is also acting as my wireless router.  I have just made sure that all firmware, drivers, and software are up to date, but as of right now my printer isn't giving me the option to enable AirPrint. Im currently trying to use AirPrint on an iPhone 6 with latest iOS available. Any ideas as to why AirPrint is unavailable?

iPhone 6, iOS 9.2.1

my printer isn't giving me the option to enable AirPrint.

I don't have an Epson printer here to test, but every AirPrint printer that I've used to date has AirPrint enabled by default. In other words, there is no setting on the printer,  iPhone or iPad to "enable" AirPrintAirPrint is already enabled by default.

Please work your way through the Apple support document for tips on how to print using AirPrint and troubleshoot issues that might arise.  Not all Apps support AirPrint so make sure that the App that you are using will do this.

If you need more help, you really are describing an iPhone issue here.......not an Apple router issue......so your best bet would probably be to start another post in the iPhone Support Forum, which is linked just below:

It's also possible you have a printer setup issue.

    • Do you see the Wi-Fi icon displayed on the Control Panel?  This is a must for AirPrint to work.

If no, you may have to change the 5GHz network name to something different from the 2.4GHz one, but setup the printer to connect only to 2.4GHz. Come back here if you need help with the network name change

    • Have you tried printing a test page from the printer's Control Panel?
