Set it up as new device, using iTunes. If the problem persists, contact Apple or visit an Apple Store/Authorized Apple Service Provider next to your place to get it checked.

Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings - Apple Support

My 6 did the same thing in the first week. I unlocked for the first time after it charged overnight and it flickered like this for a minute or two and then was fine.

My 6Plus flickered and was blinking for 20 mins, I shoot a video and took to Apple Store Eaton Center and returned my device & returned my warranty, I will never trust or purchase this over priced phone again in life.  I used it for a month and I was able to return for full refund as I said he rep and manager that I will upload the video on Social networks...so they gave me full refund

I was watching YouTube videos yesterday and I thought it was my eyes blinking. Lol. Or even the video. So I watched another video and the same thing happened. No consistent patterns - just sporadic occurrences of flickering. I might make a video to demonstrate it and post on YouTube if it happens again.

My iPhone 6 plus started flickering and opening apps by itself or scrolling pages. Then the screen turned green and black flickering. I locked it and the screen was then completely black, but siri worked. I thought maybe restarting it would work but it will not turn back on. When I plug it into the wall it vibrates twice every 6 seconds. I am the most tech knowledgeable person at my school, but I am at a lost for words on what happened.

Believe me its not you its the phone.  I tried hard reset and even restored the phone and setup as new iPhone.  Nothing has worked.  Its REALLY sporadic I went into my cell provider the other day and showed them but because its under a year they can't do anything so that left me with having to make an appointment at the Apple store which I can't get for 5 days...in the meantime i have a pretty useless phone.  Not a happy camper.

The screen flickering and randomly opening apps is currently happening to me.  I cannot use the touch screen.  My phone is two weeks old. I can use Siri but even that is iffy, because of the apps opening and closing. Today I was talking to someone on their home phone (I use the headphones to answer as I can't swipe) and my  iphone face timed their cell while we were on the phone talking.. I live 8 hours from an apple store so I will be without a phone for awhile. I called and apple will send another…I'm not sure how it works but I know that usually they place a phone replacement cost hold on your credit card and if it is proven that it's not my fault, they will remove the hold and charge 30 USD for shipping. I have a 45 dollar Zagg glass screen protector on this phone and now 30 USD, that is already over 75 dollars extra I'm down for a phone that doesn't work.  I'm happy they are doing something  but I"m losing money on this phone that has already cost me more than I should have spent.  I got the 128 G so I could have it for a long time and not run out of storage.  The phone is in a  case that protects the entire iPhone. It has never been near water or liquids and I have treated it like a baby so if something is wrong with it, it happened prior to me receiving the phone.   I guess for the next couple of weeks i'm MIA

Never make an appointment if you dont have to. They have more Tech there that are specifically for walk ins versus how many they have for appointments. You may have to wait half an hour but its better than 5 days.

I have a similar issue. Tried all kinds of things like disable wireless / bluetooth / reboot / restore and it does not work and this issue is more at home. The phone is pretty useless, the screen flickers & it not responsive and I have missed many calls am an really frustrated with a phone that I invested a little over an year. Will make a trip to the apple store but my phone is out of warranty.I see many of you having a similar issue, were you able to get it resolved, what was the solution ?

So I just recently encountered this annoying problem. I had gone into the apple store to have a cracked screen replaced. The next day the screen began malfunctioning. The touchscreen would stop working and if I tried getting the screen to work, a white flicker would happen at the top edge of the screen. Within a week I went to another apple location to see what they could do. I had to explain to the apple rep that my phone was out of warranty but I had recently had my screen replaced. The rep told me that the issue was not with the screen replacement, but rather a malfunctioning piece of hardware and they could not help me since it was out of warranty. After a but of going back and convincing she was able to speak to her manager and get me a NEW phone! Its great that they were able to understand my situation and help me get this problem sorted. I recommend calling apple, setting an appointment, and explaining your problem to the service rep, and  be POLITE.

Mine is doing the same exact thing after 6 months. The issue started out of nowhere and made the phone useless. I went to the Cumberland Mall apple store and they swapped it out with a "new" one.  ONE DAY LATER the replacement phone is now doing the exact same thing.

So I took the replacement back and they swapped it out for another "new" 6plus 128gb.      Guess what!!  The one they gave me in the freaking store didn't work...screen was non responsive out of the box.   Too funny.   So they replaced that one and sent it to Apple engineering whatever's that means.    So I'm on my 4th 6plus 128.  Been working fine for 5 days so far but I don't have much faith it will last.

when it works it is great but my next phone will be a android no doubt.    Sorry Apple.   Your Foxconn Chinese crap *****.

I experience the screen flickering 32 days after my 1st year warranty period and Apple told me the cost of replacement is $399. My iPhone 6plus wasn't open or dropped in water neither was it dropped as it was diagnosed by them. I felt that the product itself had an inherent issues that warrants a product recall.

Should anyone of you considering a class action, let me know.

Put me down on this list, planetzinc.  I bought my iPhone 6 on February 7, 2015. I never dropped the phone and had it in a case all the time.

I took it to the Genius Bar for an analysis on March 13, 2016.  Only to find Apple proudly hidding behind their corporate policy by noting that the hardware was outside of the 1-year manufacturer warranty and further stating that it is a black and white policy.  I spoke to a manager who said there is nothing they are allowed to do after one year...nothing.  Also, they were quick to insult by stating that if I had purchased their AppleCare Protection Plan they would have gladly replaced the phone for free.  Now, my only option is to trade the phone in for $350 and buy a new phone and the standard retail price.

It's called customer service, Apple!!  Stand behind your EXPENSIVE products and encourage people to come back.  Apple has lost me as a return customer.  Their hardware is faulty and they want you (the customer) to insure your phone so that they continue a facade of giving quality to their customers.  In the end, it is the customers taking care of themselves by purchasing added insurance.  Ridiculous!
