Q: Can I trade in my older iPhone that I bought from the UK for a newer iPhone in the US?

I've been using iPhone 4s for almost four years now and I want to change it. I saw that Apple trades in older iPhones for newer ones and I thought if it's possible I could get the $100 check to buy a 6s. Since I bought my iPhone in the UK, can I still trade it in in the US?

(I know the community I'm posting to is inappropiate, I'd be glad if someone guided me to the correct one.)

Not sure if the Apple recycling program will get you that much - you may want to look at E Bay or Swappa or some other used phone sell site

Actually this is probably the best section to post your question. As far the recycling trade is concerned I agree with ManSinha. You can probably get more $$ if you sell the phone directly. If you are in the US and still want to recycle at Apple, I would call your nearest Apple Store and ask if they recycle UK phones.
