Mar 9, 2016 10:02 AM in response to Ghazal67by Johnb-one,Dear Ghazal67, you could try the following step
to reset the SMC in a MacBook Pro (non-removable battery), shut the computer down and plug in the adapter, on the Left hand side of the keyboard, press the shift, control , option and power keys. Hold them for 30 seconds and then release, now press the power button to restart computer. Has that fixed the problem, ottherwise SMC FanControl might be helpful.
and no, unless you did a backup before, you cannot downgrade to Yosemite. You may, however, want to buy more ram sticks* and install them yourself
(with a 2011 MacBook it's not that hard) . You can have 8 gigs, maybe 16 gigs, and Yosemite and El Capitan love the ram, so the more, the merrier, at least when it comes to that. 2 Gigs is the bare minimum needed to run and install stuff, and you have 4 gigs which may work okay for now, but could get tight now and again....
so, there you go
John B
*get them from a reputable vendor who will take them back should there be any problems. The type of ram you need can be found under the large Apple icon at the top left of your screen, then go to About this Mac, then system report. The last time I bought 2 sticks of ram it was around $200, however the price may vary, but it shouldn't be too much more, and it will be worth it.....

Hello
I have newly upgraded my mac os from 10.9.5 to el capitan 10.11.1
Unfortunately from the time that I've upgraded it, the fan does not stop to make sound
here is the information about my mac:
MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2011)
processor: 2,4 GHz Intel Core i5 and
4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
I've already tried all the troubleshooting mentioned on the web but the fan is still running at the fast speed
I just wanted to downgrade to Yosemite OS but I see everywhere that I need to have a backup from the last version but I forgot to do a backup before the upgrade
Can anyone help me how so downgrade the OS?
Thanks
Reverting back to a previous OS requires you to fulfill one of two conditions:
- you have a Time Machine backup of your system made when you ran that OS
- you'd previously downloaded and installed that OS through the App Store
Since you said you don't have any backups from when you were running Yosemite, my question for you would be, did you upgrade to Yosemite at some point in the past?
