I recently was having problems with my MacBook (13 inch version 2.1 circa 2008). I took it to the Genius Bar and they determined the battery was bad but the charger still worked. I was told it would power the Mac and it would work as long as I removed the battery but kept it plugged in while in use. It does turn on l, but randomly shuts down every 10 seconds to 5 minutes. The light on the charger is completely green whether it is on or off. Any ideas what may be going on and how I can fix it? I was told by 2 Apple employees that it should work with the battery out when plugged in and it did work at their store with my charger for a longer period of time. Any ideas would be appreciated!
