Q: Windows 10 in Bootcamp randomly wakes from sleep or does not sleep when the lid is closed?
I recently installed Bootcamp on to my MacBook Pro (11,3), and I am running Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit. Currently this is my primary operating system, as I run a variety of Windows only software for work. Disappointingly, I have found that Bootcamp does not give a completely perfect Windows experience. While I have been able overcome or overlook most of small the quirks and annoyances, one issue has me frustrated and concerned: When I close the lid, sometimes my MacBook Pro does not go to sleep, else it will wake randomly after being put to sleep. I cannot find a reason for it, and the real concern here comes from the fact that my computer lives in a Pelican Case for travel to and from work. Often times when I open the case at home, I find the computer has been running, and is burning hot to the touch. I fear that permanent damage may occur if it has not already.
Any help or insight into solving this issue would be greatly appreciated. I will also offer that this is not isolated to Windows 10. I had a previous Bootcamp installation with Windows 7 Ultimate about a year ago exhibiting the same problem. I briefly switched to running Parallels in an effort to avoid such issues, but had to go back to Bootcamp due to problems running certain software.
Thanks
