Mar 10, 2016 5:39 PM in response to woofdangby deggie,You didn't respond as to what this super powerful computer you have to have is and why.
Macs can text from iPhones using Continuity and it doesn't use the cable at all. If you need this on a PC perhaps you should look into a Windows based phone. iOS is useful and isn't particularly gimmicky (neither is Windows) that would be the purview of Android. The major changes to iOS is the past 3 versions have been to strengthen security on iPhones and according to the FBI it appears to be working very well. If security is not that important to you but convenience like this is then you should certainly look into a different phone. A reasonable person picks the proper tool for their needs, you apparently chose poorly.

Mar 10, 2016 6:37 PM in response to deggieby woofdang, yes deggie only it did not cost $5,000 dollars because it's not proprietary apple stuff. Well actually it did cost more than that but since it's using Linux and Windows OSes I can use much better hardware at a fraction of the price. But let's not even do the whole apple verse windows or whatnot as it's been done to death and as a former Macintosh Graphic Artist for 12 years I finally made the switch as I needed better and faster stuff and my company nor I wanted to pay double or triple the cost. Plus we needed to be able to open them up and upgrade them with non-proprietary stuff that simply do not support apple/macs. Like aperture hardware interfaces, APIs for higher end digital video cameras and such. You'll eventually get there like all of us artist after you've been round for awhile. I was hoping their phones would be the exception and I should have done more research first...

Mar 10, 2016 6:41 PM in response to deggieby woofdang,No security is not all important to me. I do not do such illegal stuff that would warrant the FBI to investigate. They are welcomed to listen to my calls if they like even, it does not bother me. If hackers and such want to delete all my files and such then that is my own fault for not protecting myself and not the OS. But heck I could use an new identity and an easy excuse to file bankruptcy so by all means they are welcomed to it =P
But to each their own.

Mar 10, 2016 6:45 PM in response to woofdangby deggie,So you are not familiar at all with the current Mac Pro, correct?
And you have no idea how long I've already been around. No, security should be built into the OS, you shouldn't have to add layers of software to supposedly be secure.
But I do agree, you should have done more research.
Bye.

Sep 3, 2016 2:14 AM in response to NerevarRebornby PrabhuSuku,Hi
Android has few options like Airdroid, mysms. However, iPhone does not have such an option unless you use iMac, Macbook etc which can be used through iMessage, still not as useful as Android. In short, NOT possible through iPhone.

You should absolutely get the phone that best meets your needs. I'd suggest the Motorola Z series.
