Q: Encrypting "existing" Time Capsule backups
Hello,
I want to encrypt my existing time machine backups that are stored in my Time Capsule, but when I select the same disk from system preferences->time machine, "encrypt backups" box is greyed out. Is there any way to encrypt my old backups ?
Thank you.

You can always make an encrypted Disk Image of a folder using Disk Utility. Caution though, if your encryption data gets corrupted, or if you forget the password, no one will be able to recover the data. Physical security is better than security that is subject to the whims of hardware. And always have at least two copies of your data at all times.
