Q: AirPlay: There are no speakers connected (actually, not)

Dear Apple and iTunes.app team!

I am constantly getting this error (see screenshot attached) everytime when I start playing music from iTunes via AirPlay (streaming to Airport Express with AUX-connected speakers).

But my speakers definitely are connected and playing normally!

I use iTunes everyday, so I see this message everyday, and even some times a day. With no ability to somehow overcome it. It makes me really crazy

I know that this feature is important, but please just let me check an option "Everything ok, let me just listen to my music through those unconnected speakers and never warn me again."

Thank you in advance!

    Hi Notoleg,

Thank you for contributing to the Apple Support Communities.

It looks like your iTunes is warning you that speakers are not connected to your AirPort, when in fact they are connected. I can see how this would be frustrating to see every day. Does this happen when other speakers (or even a headset) are plugged into your AirPort?

Have you tried resetting your AirPort base station? If not, you can try a "soft reset" as mentioned in Resetting an AirPort base station FAQ. If the situation continues, you can also try a "hard reset" and "factory default reset," although note that the third option will require you to set up your network again.

    Sincerely.

    Hi jeremy,

    Thank you for your response.

No it doesn't. I'm pretty sure the problem is in speakers, not in Airport Express. But I can not (and to be honest - don't want to) change the speakers (BOSE). And can't fix it either. So I think iTunes alert should contain an option to automatically dismiss all these warnings in future. It is the only (and most logical and simple) way to overcome such situations. It should not be a big deal to add a checkbox there.
