Q: Reminder does not appear on PC

If I create a reminder on my iPad it duly appears in my web browser Firefox in my iCloud Reminders list on my XP PC. And vice versa. All good so far. But when the set date/time arises, I only get the notification on my iPad. why not on the PC?

When I go looking and open the web page manually, I see the reminder is shown as completed.

Even if I leave Firefox open and the Reminder page active, all I see is the display, but no sound.

How is the desktop iCloud supposed to work please?

Windows XP Pro, iPad Air 3G 128 GB

Have you tried using iCloud for Windows?

Thanks but it's not supported on XP. That's why I'm trying to use the web version. I'm guessing the same limitation applies.

okay, if you're using Windows XP maybe you can try this old iCloud for Windows 2000, XP, or Vista

Thanks again, appreciate your help, but I have already tried that promising solution in vain. It seemed to successfully install iTunes, but whenever I try to run it I get this obscure error. So far I've not found out how to proceed from there.
