Mar 14, 2016 1:01 PM in response to Bryann__7by LarryHN,You really should fix that
We might be able to help if you provided some information - right now it is like "my car won't start"
we need to know what you have (OS version of software version), what has changed since it worked, what exactly you are seeing (where are they gone from?), Where have you looked for them?
What else can you tell someone who can not see you or your computer that might help give you assistance?

Mar 14, 2016 1:01 PM in response to Bryann__7by léonie,Why happened before your photos vanished? Try to remember what you did before this happened? Run any new applications? Move your Photos Library?
Which version of Photos are you running? Are you using iCloud Photo Library?
If yes, have you been deleting photos from your iPhone or iPad?

Mar 14, 2016 1:02 PM in response to Bryann__7by Old Toad,With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a solution. We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
- what system version are you running?
- what version of Photos are you using?
- how much free space on your boot drive?
- how big is your library, i.e. how many photos?
- how many libraries do you have? Launch Photos with the Option key held down and see how many are in the open window.
- what fixes have you tried?
- where is your library located? If on an external HD how is the drive formatted and connected to the MBP?
- did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
- are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
- what Mac model?
- have you run any "cleaning" or "optimizing" apps on your Mac?

Mar 14, 2016 1:19 PM in response to Bryann__7by léonie,Check the preferences and in Photos on your Mac and the settings for iCloud on your iPhone, if any iCloud options are enabled. If iCloud Photo Library should be enabled on your Mac and your iPhone, any photo you delete from your iPhone will be deleted from the Mac's Photo Library as well.
Check the Recently Deleted album in Photos if your photos are still there for recovery.

Mar 14, 2016 1:22 PM in response to Bryann__7by LarryHN,In my analogy of a car not starting this is the same has telling us the gas gage has been on empty for weeks - a critical piece of information
I also have the problem that my memory is almost full all the time by other.
This certainly can cause the loss of data including photos - how much free space do you have on your hard drive (right click on it in the finder and get info to see) - you must always have a minimum of 10 GB fo free space and 10% of your hard drive is recommended
and this is no help at all - we need specific details
I allready tried something to recover deleted things but didn't help much.
What exactly did you try and what in detail were the results?

Mar 14, 2016 1:27 PM in response to LarryHNby Bryann__7,6.72 GB is free. More than 90 GB is other. Don't even know what it is.. And i used a program called wondershare photo recovery. But it didn't give me anything. Do you know how i can clean the 'other' section on macbook?
-
Mar 14, 2016 1:34 PM in response to Bryann__7by LarryHN,There is a free program names Grand Prospective - download it and it will show you where space is being used
And 6.72 GB is too low but if it has not been below that generally that would cause slow downs but not data loss - has it been lower?
