Q: PowerBook memory test shows faster using PC5300

Not so much a question but an observation.

I have two sets of memory that I have been using with my PowerBook G4 9969. The 2GB of PC4200 that came with it and 2GB of PC5300 from a Dell D630. When the PC5300 is installed system profiler shows them as PC2-3200S-288 but running Rember tests complete in 7 seconds vs 9 when using the stock PC4200. Xbench also gives a slightly higher score with the PC5300.

PowerBook, Mac OS X (10.4.11), PowerBook 5,8

Hi ! There is no difference.. both are DDR2, the system profiler does not recognize the PC2-3200S-444 when you installed PC5300, Really there is no difference and it does not affect usage of the PowerBook or memory. I also use PC5300 in my G4 17 DLSD and no effect.
