Q: Mac won't boot. Solution needed urgently.

My Mac won't boot.

When i tried to boot my Mac,

- It stuck on the apple screen,

- Only the spinning grey thing runs.

- The fan starts spinning really hard and loudly,

- I let it try booting for 20 minutes (maybe even more) but it didn't boot at all,

I tried booting in safe mode (hoding shift bar after the tone) but it failed.

- The grey bar only loads about a third of the way before disappearing, only showing the spinning grey indicator.

- I let it try booting for 20 minutes but it didn't work.

i tried resetting the NVRAM (option+command+p+r) but it also didn't work

- just came back on the spinny grey thing.

I tried booting from the recovery HD (holding option after the tone)

- the following message came up:

"image.jpeg"

IN verbose mode (command+v), the following error came up:

- "disk0s2: I/O error." And the same message gets repeated every few seconds.

I am running out of options. Can someone please help me with this please.

Cheers

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

Your Macbook may have a hardware failure, likely a failed hard drive. Insert your original gray install disc and restart while holding the C key and run Disk Utility to attempt to repair the hard drive. Hopefully you've kept current with Time Machine backups.
