How do i redeem title without digital disk?  The steps above take you to gift card redemption and ask for a 12 digit code.  My movie has a 16 digit code.  It doesn't work...

Are you sure its an iTunes Digital copy, and not an Ultra Violet Digital copy?

Ultra Violet codes do not work on iTunes.

What movie is it?  What code are you looking at on the Movie?

My problem is that they did work. I have several movies that are in both iTunes and VUDU (UV) and can't remember how I got them there.

    Why does it matter?

Some movies will have codes for both services, some will only have codes for one service.  It's a case by case basis.

But, you can only redeem digital codes once. And once redeemed they are available to you. Where they came from is not really important once they are redeemed and available on either service or both.

It matters because I have movies with one code for one service and it ended up in both my UV and iTunes collections and when I tried it with a new movie I did not get the same out come and can't remember how I did it. I would like them in both collections for easier access. Since some services are by nature exclusive.

As I said, some codes work for both services. some only for one or the other. Its a case by case basis. If it only works for one you will not be able to get it to the other in any way.

If the code works for both, you can redeem it on both and will show up on both.

Here's a good resource for blu rays and their digial copy codes and where they work.

    http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=236721

If you no longer have the code/physical copy it came with, then you will not be able to do anything any way.

Great link. I knew I had seen that somewhere. Blu-ray.com is a favorite site and I get daily mailings from them. Found what happened. There was a time when all the services were in their infancy and trying to court each other and were taking each others codes. The courtship didn't last long. Now you can go to each service and if you have the disc pay a buck or two and get your stuff on their service. Except Apple. VUDU has a 50% discount if you do 10 or more at a time. That's about $1 a piece. Flixster, that links to VUDU, has an upgrade deal from DVD. So that's pretty cool.

I was remembering the old days when everyone was playing nice. Got the Flixster app and can get to my UV titles on anything and the iTunes library, well only on iTunesish hardware if not dual residency. So . . . off to watch Kingsman on VUDU HDX off my Blu-ray player.

    Thanx.

Yeah blu-ray.com is a good resource for these types of things. However I've never been able to actually register for an account. Everytime I try, it deletes the account moments after creation for some reason.

That's too bad you can't get set up. I have the whole I have/want/rented/ratings thing going and get pricing info on things I want. Matter of fact the place is worse than music services. You hear a song and go and buy it immediately. I do the same with the daily pricing reports. It's cost me big time (in bulk, not individual pricing). But who cares when you're having fun.

I hope you can eventually get set up. Good Luck!!
