Jan 27, 2015 9:09 PM in response to AidenTBby OS NeXT,That is really interesting. I wonder why that is. Perhaps the reason was because when it hit the wet snow that triggered the headphone connection, then after you cleaned it the hardware side was then solved, but the OS still needed to reset it's understanding of the connection. When the bluetooth was turned off and on, perhaps that was the reset it needed.

Mar 30, 2016 4:41 PM in response to blacksheep5682by bwthanycraig,If you have spilled water and it has ended up inside of it then I would suggest either getting a hairdryer and drying out the headphone socket or put your phone on top of a radiator as this will suck all of the water/liquid out of it. This works every time for me. Also if your phone has no been near liquids and just thinks that your headphones are still in, get a pen lid that has a slightly sharp edge, then poke it through the hole where the headphones usually go in and it should work again, hope this helps anyone who needs it! (:

Mar 31, 2016 6:01 AM in response to blacksheep5682by redsoxgirl1982,It is a known issue with the 4 and 5. When I had the 5 two months after I got it the phone did the same thing. They had me do a hard reset and that helped for like a day. I had to get another phone.

Jul 8, 2016 5:33 PM in response to blacksheep5682by anabels1998,I also tried resetting my phone. It didn't work. My iPhone 6 fell in water for a bit. I sucked it all out and th trick that worked was I got a Q Tip and took the fluff off of it u till it was the stick and it had a little fluff and put that inside the headphone jack and twisted it for 2 seconds and it cleaned it and right after my speaker and mic were working properly when I made phone calls or had notifications.
