I understand you are getting a message that your iPhone is running out of space. The resources below will explain how to check the capacity of your iPhone to see exactly what is taking up the space. If you have not done so already, you should make a backup of your iPhone. As an additional precaution, I would suggest importing your pictures and transferring your iTunes purchases to your computer as well. Then you can restore your iPhone from the backup. If the issues with your internal storage persist, you can restore your iPhone as New. I'll include some resources below that will provide additional information.
Check your storage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
How to back up your devices using iCloud or iTunes
Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your computer
Redownload or transfer your iTunes Store purchases from an iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups
Take care,
