Q: "No Service" after restoring a new phone from old backup

I just restored a new phone from an old iPhone backup. Everything is working except I can't dial out or use my phone features. It just says "No Service". How do I fix this so that I can dial out and receive calls? I'm currently using a 6S and used an old iCloud backup that was from a 5. Im up to date on all software updates. I've tried erasing the phones contents and starting the backup all over again but that didn't work. Help?

Try restore to factory and don't add any content. See if you can activate the phone from there and get service. If you can, then try restoring your backup again. If that brings the problem back, then there is a problem with your backup file. You will have to restore to factory again, and then sync data manually without using the backup file.
